Foundations:

All types of repairs, from replacing failed sections to the entire foundation. Typical repairs involve supporting the home and either replacing the foundation or reinforcing it. Sometimes the house needs to be leveled or raised.

Replacing usually occurs when the foundation is found to be inadequate to support the structure above. Some common conditions:

• The foundation was not deep enough or had little or no footing
• The foundation was built without the benefit of reinforcing steel (rebar)
• The concrete was mixed with beach sand that contained salt (it crumbles)
• The foundation is not high enough and causes a (faulty grade condition)

Reinforcing the foundation can occur when the original foundation is found to be structurally sound but not deep enough. Some common remedies:

• Installing a series drilled piers
• Installing a series if pipe piles
• Installing a series of Helical piles
• Hand digging deeper sections

Additional work with foundations can involve

• Drainage and waterproofing
• Grading and excavating
• Seismic strengthening
• Adding new structural members

Concrete work:

Replacing or installing new driveways, sidewalks, stairs, or patios, but don’t stop there!

• Broom finishes (think sidewalks)
• Exposed or washed (exposes the pebbles in the concrete)
• Seeded (Adding special, washed and clean pebbles to the surface)
